day thirty one. My first month is complete and I'm proud of myself for sticking with it. I've started a series that I'm unveiling tomorrow and I feel more creatively charged now that I make time for finding something beautiful each day to photograph.

I went to Irvine park with Emily today and we worked out and took some photos. There were none today that really stood out to me that weren't specifically for my new project, so I will give you a quick taste of it before I reveal the entire series February 1st.
spring.summer.autumn.winter
The other day Summer and I decided to make good use of my annual regional park pass. She is so flawless. I wanted to make use of some of the beautiful winter light I have been seeing on my way to work every evening but it was overcast and kind of dark. We made it work though! The park we went to was so odd. I've noticed that southern california seems to have this strange autumn/spring in the early part of the year. Some parts are beautiful and green, with fresh grass and other areas have trees changing color. I'm not complaining. This is one of my favorite parts of the year for photos.

hnnnnnng. I hate artificial light. HATE IT. I HATE IT YOU GUYS. You..one person who is probably reading this. But I was busy all day and I made a promise to myself, so here it is.
In other news, I recently lost someone very close to me and I've been helping prepare things for his memorial. In doing so, I had the opportunity to look at some really awesome old pictures of him (collecting old photos is a hobby of mine.) and I wanted to share them with you.
RIP Uncle Cory. <3
